Self-styled Area fada and punk king, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, a.k.a, Charly boy, has apologize to the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki over his false statement that Saraki was recently attacked by a mob in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Charly boy had, through some tweets, said that Saraki was attacked merely by seeing a handful of photographs in which Saraki was either dusting up his dirty trousers or showing the people around him some dirty pebbles.
The Area fada had misinterpreted the photos to be those of a mob attack against the person of the Senate President.
Twitter users, including Saraki’s Head of New Media, Olu Onemola, drew Charly boy’s attention to the fact that the photos were those of the Senate President’s 2012 visit to Ogoniland in Rivers State, rather than photos of an attack by some mob in Kwara State. [myad]
