Rivers State is set to establish what it called ‘Tennis clinic’ to train children from primary to secondary school levels in the efforts to popularize the game in addition to enabling the participants to make good money out of it.

Chairman of the table tennis in the state, Chief Ikenna Okafor, who made this known today, Wednesday in Port Harcourt, capital of the state, shortly after his meeting with the stakeholders and multinational companies, said that the state would also employ coaches to conduct the training.

Chief Okafor said that plans have been made to go round all senatorial zones of the state to search for the younger generation to form the nucleus of the table tennis.
