INEC Chairman, Police Boss, Move To Port Harcourt – Address Stakeholders Over Rivers Re-Run

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Kpotun Idris, today, Thursday, moved to Port Harcourt where they held a stakeholders meeting ahead of the Rivers State House of Assembly National Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, 10th December 2016.
A statement from the spokesman of the INEC, Nick Dazang did not give the details of the meeting, he said however that the police and the INEC bosses stressed the need for a peaceful conduct of the elections on Saturday.
The elections will be conducted in the following twenty one constituencies on Saturday:
(1.) Rivers East (SD)
(2.) Rivers West (SD)
(3.) Rivers South East (SD)
(4.) Akuku-Toru/Asari Toru (FC) (5.) Degema/Bonny (FC)
(6.) Okrika/Ogu-Bolo (FC)
(7.) Etche/Omuma (FC)
(8.) Ikwere/Emohua (FC)
(9.) Khana Gokana (FC)
(10.) Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo (FC)
(11.) Opobo/Nkoro/Andoni (FC) (12.) Eleme (SC)
(13.) Gokana (SC)
(14.) Asari-Toru I (SC)
(15.) Asari-Toru II (SC)
(16.) Andoni (SC)
(17.) Khana II (SC)
(18.) Etche II (SC)
