Buhari Appoints New Minister Of Environment

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Surveyor Suleiman Hassan as the new minister of Environment.

The appointment of Suleiman came today, Thursday, as a result of the resignation of the minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Usman Jibril who left to  ascend the throne of his forefathers as the Emir of Nasarawa, in Nasarawa State.

The substantive minister, Amina Mohammed, had also reigned earlier to take up appointment as Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations (UN).

President Buhari announced the appointment of the new minister today at the end of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday, Wednesday.
