Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has conferred honourary citizenship of Nigeria to the visiting French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The minister, who handed out a symbolic key to Macron to the Federal Capital, Abuja, when the French President arrived today, Tuesday, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Musa Bello explained that the visiting President was conferred with such honor to demonstrate the appreciation of Nigeria on the strong friendship and cordial relationship between the people of Nigeria and France.
President Macron, whose Boeing 777 Republique Francaise aircraft touched down the Presidential Wing of the airport, was received also by the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Denys Gauer, among others. [myad]
