Military Strike In Guinea, May Have Taken Over Civilian Govt


Military may have forcefully taken over the civilian government of President Alpha Conde, in a coup d’etat in the Republic of Guinea.

Reports reaching us at Greenbarge Reporters online newspaper said that heavy artillery sounds were heard around the Presidential Palace today, September 5, in Conakry.

Foreign news agencies said that in Conakry, capital of Guinea, Special Forces whisked away President Conde from the Presidential Palace  to Kaloum Hotel in the capital city.

Although the leader of the Special Forces who staged the coupe and whose name was not immediately mentioned, had appeared on television to address the nation, reports said that President Conde, who was seen seating dressed in a casual wear, claimed that he is still in charge.
