Buhari’s Minister Quits, Takes Up Position Of Emir

Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jibrin

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jibrin, has resigned to take up the position of Emir of Keffi in Nasarawa State.

His resignation was announced today, Wednesday during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which was presided by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ibrahim Jibrin had recently emerged as the 13th Emir of Nasarawa.

He had been minister of State for Environment since the beginning of the Buhari government and had remained so even after the substantive minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed relinquished the post and took up a job with the Nation Nations.
