President Muhammadu Buhari has advised the new Olu of Warri, Prince Tsola Emiko to build on peace that has been existing in Itsekiri Kingdom before he mounts the ancient throne.
In a message by the special adviser to the President on media and publicity, Buhari congratulated all Itsekiris at home and abroad for the installation of Prince Emiko as the 21st Olu of Warri, today, August 21.
The President advised the new Olu that as a Western-trained political scientist, and management expert, he should use his gift and intellect to serve his people.
Buhari acknowledged “the peaceful disposition of Itsekiris to peace in the Niger Delta region, and the country in general.”
He congratulated the Kingdom for overcoming the issues that arose after the initial appointment of the Olu-designate and advised them to amicably resolve any outstanding matters in the interest of peace and tranquility.
The President prayed that the new epoch will consolidate on the peace, progress and prosperity of all members of the Warri Kingdom.
