Kogi PDP Chairmanship candidate Complains Of Bribery At Election Of Executive

A chairmanship aspirant in the just-concluded Kogi State Congress of the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Mohammed Omuya has complained of bribery at the congress of the party, even as he rejected the outcome of the election that produce Engr. Sam Uhuotu as the Chairman.

Mohammed Omuya said, after the results of the election were declared today, July 21 in Lokoja, the State capital: “in a democratic setting, for a party that has so much propagate propaganda against the APC-led Government, it is shocking and heart breaking to see bribed delegates following the instructions of selfish leaders to go against the interest of the majority.

“The congress was never a free and fair congress. It was accompanied by so much abnormalities, where a group of people fill in the booklet of the ballot paper on behalf of the delegate,” he said.

In the election Engr. Uhuotu polled 1,478 votes while Mohammed Omuya scored 270.
