Result Of Presidential Poll: Buhari In Early Lead

President Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential candidate Of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is in the early lead in the last Saturday’s February 23 Presidential election across Nigeria.

The results so far released from six states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed President Buhari scoring a total number of 2,006,831.
His main challenger and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar scored 1,530,128.
The breakdown is as follows:
In Ekiti State, Buhari polled 219,231 votes while Atiku polled 154,032 votes: Osun State, Buhari got 347,634 votes and Atiku got 337,377 votes and in Kwara State, Buhari got 308,984 votes while Atiku got 138,184 votes.
Others are Nasarawa State with Buhari polling 289,903 votes while Atiku polled 283,847 votes: Kogi State where Buhari got 285,894 votes and Atiku got 218,207 votes and in Gombe State with Buhari polling 402,961 and votes and Atiku polling 138,484 votes.
Atiku defeated Buhari in the FCT, scoring 259,997 votes as Buhari scored 152,224 votes.
So far, Buhari is leading with an excess of 576,703 votes in the six States and FCT.
