Vote For Me As APC Senator, But Don’t Vote For APC Governorship candidate – Ogun Gov

Governor Ibikunle Amosun

The Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has asked the electorate in the state to vote for him as a senatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and for President Muhammadu Buhari but not for the APC governorship candidate in the state.

Governor Ibikunle, who flagged off his campaign for a senatorial seat today, Thursday at Panseke in Abeokuta, the state capital, asked the electorate not to vote for the governorship candidate of APC, Dapo Abiodun, but vote for Adekunle Akinlade, who is now the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

“I am a victim of envy, forgetting that God owns our lives, and they are playing god. They have even started planning for the presidency ahead of the far away 2023 political dispensation. Who knows who will be alive tomorrow?”

Governor Amosun has been at loggerheads with the national leadership of the party following his failure to secure the governorship ticket for Adekunle Akinlade.

Akinlade and other aides of the embittered governor later moved to APM while governor Amosun remained in the APC.

Only recently, the national leadership of the APC, led by Adams Oshiomhole, dissolved the Ogun state executive of the party, saying that they could not be trusted to work for the party as they are loyalists of governor Amosun.
