UN Appoints Emir Sanusi  Of Kano As Advocate For Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations (UN) has appointed the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II as one of the new Advocates for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Emir joined 16 others who the UN Secretary General, António Guterres appointed as influential public figures from across the world.

The US Scribe, in a statement today, Thursday in New York, said that the appointment was sequel to the UN Member States agreement to accomplish the SDGs by 2030.

The appointees are to romote the goals, raise awareness with new audiences; maintain global commitment and call for greater ambition and scalable action to achieve the SDGs objectives by 2030 among others.
