Northern Elders Confirm Namadi Sambo As Northern Political Leader

The Northern Elders Council has acknowledged that Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo is currently the Northern political leader. This has foreclosed the controversy that had raged for a long time now over who leads the North at the level of politics.
Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, who led members of the Council to Aguda House, the official residence of the Vice President to wish him happy 60th birth day anniversary, commended him for the leadership qualities he has been displaying.
Yakasai also commended Namadi Sambo for his loyalty and support to President Goodluck Jonathan, even as he assured him that members of the Council would continue to support the administration towards national progress.
He wished the Vice President a happy birthday on his 60th anniversary.
Namadi Sambo expressed appreciation to the Northern Elders for their contributions towards nation building.
Namadi Sambo thanked them for their support to President Jonathan led administration on its people oriented Transformation Agenda.
He also lauded their untiring efforts at fostering unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, asking them not to relent.
